About
Scan To Listen was designed, developed, and deployed by a single software engineer who saw a gap in the market and built a solution from the ground up.
Founder, Owner & Software Engineer — Scan To Listen LLC
I'm a senior software engineer based in Nashville, Tennessee, with a career spanning Retail, Insurance, Automotive, Intellectual Property, and Consulting. I hold a degree in Computer Engineering and have studied at both Lipscomb University and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
I grew up on a family farm near the Tennessee River and Kentucky Lake — a background that shaped a strong work ethic and a preference for building things that are practical, durable, and built to last.
Scan To Listen is my company. I am the founder, owner, and the engineer who designed and built the system from the ground up. I identified a real gap in the market: venues with multiple audio sources — TVs, projectors, microphones — and no practical way for patrons to hear them without cranking the volume for everyone. The result is a system that works without apps, without accounts, and without asking anyone to carry a receiver.
The system is built on custom-developed software, open-source components, and enterprise-grade hardware — selected for security, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
This is not a hobby project. I built Scan To Listen alongside a full-time engineering career because I genuinely believe in what it does. The system is actively maintained and updated remotely as the platform continues to improve. I am fully committed to addressing client feedback promptly.
We are focused on venues in the Nashville area, with interest in expanding further. If you have questions, feedback, or just want to talk through whether Scan To Listen is a fit for your venue, I'd love to hear from you.
